The Best Time of the Year to Get Plastic Surgery

shutterstock_149442527As the bathing suits are put away, and warmer clothes are brought out, it can only mean that the change of the seasons is here. With fall and winter upon us, some people may be wondering if there is a “best time” to undergo plastic surgery. Although there is no particular time of the year that plastic surgery must be performed, generally the fall and winter months present the best time to undergo plastic surgery. Here are a few reasons why:

Holidays

Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve are arguably the three most social holidays of the year. These holidays are also the only time that some people get to see certain family members and friends. To look their best in these yearly situations, people often undergo facial enhancements such as facelift and brow lift surgery.

Covering Up

Scarring is an inevitable part of the surgical process for many surgical procedures. However, the cold weather allows many people to wear many layers of clothing, which cover the body while scars diminish. This allows individuals to feel less self-conscious about being in public directly after undergoing invasive procedures such as a tummy tuck or liposuction.

Recovery Process is Easier

Typically, people have more time off during the fall and winter seasons. Knowing that they can undergo plastic surgery without missing work encourages potential patients to get the breast enhancement they’ve always wanted.

Right now there is no better time of the year to undergo the surgical procedure you desire. To learn more about how you can improve your appearance, contact The Aesthetic Institute today. The Benefits of a Brow Lift

shutterstock_41563423If you’re like most middle-aged men and women, fine lines and wrinkles have likely developed on your forehead. Over time, these conditions worsen, causing the brows to sag and furrows to form between them. To combat these signs of aging, perhaps you’ve tried various products that aim at restoring collagen fibers and smoothing out the skin. However, many people often see little, if any improvement with these products. When all else has failed to effectively eliminate aging in the forehead and brow area, cosmetic treatment is performed.

At his Fullerton practice, Dr. Robert Wald regularly performs endoscopic brow lift surgery. Also known as a “forehead lift,” this procedure offers many benefits.

Diminish Forehead Wrinkles

Facial movements, combined with other factors like sun exposure, can leave the forehead with permanent wrinkles. A brow lift removes excess skin on the upper face and tightens the remaining skin to smooth out the appearance of the forehead.

Minimize Frown Lines and Crow’s Feet

Years of squinting can cause deep creases to form between the eyebrows (frown lines) and around the eyes (crow’s feet). A brow lift can effectively reduce the appearance of these lines and creases and provide a more youthful facial appearance.

Reduce Folding in the Eyelids

Aging and gravity make the skin above the eyelids droop over time. By raising the brow and forehead areas, the skin sagging skin over the eyelids becomes tighter and less saggy.

A brow lift provides long-lasting results and is often performed concurrently with other procedures facial restoring procedures such as a facelift or eyelid lift. For patients seeking temporary improvement, BOTOX® Cosmetic can effectively reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and at the corner of the eyes (crow’s feet).

Cosmetic Surgery Orange County

Looking Better is Invigorating

Cosmetic surgery not only makes us look more youthful, but also makes us feel younger. I constantly hear from my patients that they are looked at differently at work and socially following cosmetic surgery. The psychological aspects of this surgery are very uplifting. As we get older we may feel young, but it is depressing to see our aged appearance in the mirror.

Being an Orange County plastic surgery specialist, I find cosmetic surgery to be extremely rewarding. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the psychological changes in people following all kinds of beautification surgery. The fees for this surgery seem quite reasonable considering a person enjoys the benefits of these procedures every day.

Facial Harmony

Our Neck is often one of the first areas to show early signs of aging. Tissue changes include loose, wrinkled or hanging skin. Hereditary conditions cause excess fat in the neck creating  a double chin. The combination of tissue decent, fat accumulation and exposure to the elements can have a profound impact on neck contour and skin quality. When the skin becomes slack under the chin, it can create an unattractive “waddle” or “turkey” neck. Occasionally the muscles of the neck become more prominent and sometimes appear as vertical cords. Loose skin and fat deposits can also produce jowls or jowl line contour deformities.

In order to correct these problems, surgical intervention is required. Frequently a full face lift is most effective. My patients are shown that the face and neck are in continuity and in order to achieve facial harmony, neck and facial tissues must be tightened together.

However depending on the degree of neck and facial skin aging, selected patients can undergo isolated neck lifts. In these patients, hair line incisions are made behind the ear which is unnoticeable. Some patients with minor degree of neck loosening can undergo temporal or short scar lifts. Essential to these procedures are the patient’s desires and expectations. Patients with neck fullness can undergo liposuction alone which allows for secondary skin contraction and tightening.

Dr. Wald Looks forward to
helping you reach your
cosmetic goals.
